WHAT IS THE CHICAGO WEALTH CLUB?
The Chicago Wealth Club (formerly known as Chicago REIA) is a trade association and networking club where local Chicago investors GO to network, partner, sell and buy deals, and learn the latest trends and strategies for investing in real estate.
We typically have hundreds of members and guests at our monthly online and/or live meetings. Our focus is on Chicago area real estate investing. After all, Real Estate markets are local and you need a network of local resources to invest safely and profitably.
The Chicago Wealth Club pledges to bring you speakers and discussion topics that are relevant to building the investment knowledge you need to be successful in Chicago. We believe in education and getting our membership the most accurate and up-to-date information about what’s going on in Illinois as well as what’s working in TODAY’S real estate market.
Our presenters are highly vetted so you only see the best people speaking directly about topics that affect your business. We are not a multi-level marketing group, never have been, never will be. We have a stringent focus on networking, education, investment strategies, deal pitching, and knowledge sharing, not on selling products or services. These are just a few things that differentiate us and make our group a stand-out for both accomplished and brand new real estate investors.

WHO’S BEHIND THE CHICAGO WEALTH CLUB?
Robert Bock has been engaged in one form or another of real estate investing for more than 10 years. “I love this business,” Bob says. It allows me to help people and form great relationships, provide for my family’s future, and give back to the community all at the same time.” From his modest beginnings as a rehabber, purchasing one or two properties at a time, Bob has extended his company’s reach to include multi-unit residential deals throughout the Midwest. With an eye toward transitioning from a 20-plus year career in electrical engineering, he incorporated RJB Investments in early 2006.
Bob enjoys working with private lenders to form solid business relationships. His thorough deal analysis, attention to detail and expertise at structuring win-win deals enables private lenders to maintain a hands-off position, which they find appealing because of their busy lifestyles. “Many of the private investors I work with have full-time jobs, families, and other interests,” Bob says, “so it creates a perfect fit for them to invest profitably with very little commitment of their own valuable time.”
Bob has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and earned a master’s degree, also in electrical engineering, from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He says his education and engineering background have provided him with skills and a knowledge base particularly useful to his current business endeavors. He has the ability to see all the components that go into structuring successful real estate investment deals and how they each fit into the whole. His project management skills are top-notch and enable him to leverage time and resources effectively. Bob, along with the rest of the Matterhorn team, also brings solid Midwestern values and an uncompromising commitment to excellence to all of his business concerns.
G.D. Chaplin brings more than 15 years of experience as a business owner to his investor relations director position with Matterhorn Group. He owned and operated two medical management companies, which provided management, customer/client relations training, marketing, and financial services to the medical community. His businesses generated millions in revenue annually and the experience enabled G.D. to develop a wide range of skills that translate seamlessly to his current role.
Before starting his own businesses, G.D. was an investment broker with Investors Performance Group. During his tenure he opened 457 speculative investment accounts totaling more than $6.3 million for individual investors in 31 states. G.D. says he enjoys helping people prepare for their future financial needs and believes real estate provides some of the most solid, safe returns of all investment strategies.

G.D. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and business administration from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
